A return of players from injury means the Demons’ Round 6 line-up is stacked with quality defenders as it looks to defeat Box Hill on Sunday.
Casey was brilliant on ANZAC Day eve, overcoming a 21-point deficit in the second term against Richmond to run out 23-point winners.
Still undefeated after five rounds and on top of the VFL ladder, the Demons have made five changes for its Round 6 date with the Box Hill Hawks on Sunday afternoon.
Experienced defender and Casey leader Matt Buntine will make his long-awaited return from injury on Sunday, while AFL star Michael Hibberd is also named for his first match of the 2022 season.
Bryce Milford and Luca Goonan will also return to the team for Round 6, while Matthew Johnson has been listed to play his first VFL game for the red and blue in 2022.
The star quality coming in means Corey Ellison and Miles Shepherd are unlucky omissions for this week’s game, while Ryan Koo will also sit out this weekend after being the 23rd man for the past two matches.
Young Melbourne AFL recruit Taj Woewodin is out for the Hawks clash, while star forward Tom McDonald has been called up to Melbourne’s AFL team after a superb three-goal performance against the Tigers last week.
If fans can’t get down to Box Hill City Oval on Sunday afternoon for the match, they can watch the live stream on the AFL website from 2.05PM.
