AN ACT OF COURAGE and a touch of class has seen Sinead Goldrick nominated for the Toyota AFLW Mark of the Year award in Round 9.

In Melbourne's 88-point victory at Optus Stadium on Saturday night, Goldrick went back with the flight to pull in a mark that was deemed to be one of the best of the weekend.

The Demon is up against Natalie Grider (Brisbane) and Chloe Scheer (Geelong) to stay in the running for the end of season award.

Goldrick would join Tayla Harris in becoming an official Mark of the Year nominee, with the key forward already being recognised twice this season.
