AT JUST 24 years of age, Clayton Oliver is fast becoming one of the greatest Demons to ever pull on the red and blue guernsey.

Not only is the star midfielder a premiership player, but on Friday night at Crown Palladium, he claimed his third Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy.

Oliver polled 670 votes in the Best and Fairest count – 26 more than Christian Petracca in second place – to become just the seventh Melbourne player in history to win the award on three or more occasions.

This triumph caps off a stellar season for the on-baller who averaged 32 disposals per game and took home the prestigious AFLCA Coaches Award.

He also finished third in the Brownlow Medal after leading the league in contested possessions and having the second-most clearances in the competition.

After winning this trophy in 2017 and 2019, Oliver, who has played just six seasons at the level, has remarkably won the Demons’ top prize every second year of his career to date.

Fellow All Australian Max Gawn (542 votes) came in third place, while Christian Salem (522 votes) and Jake Lever (498 votes) rounded out the top five.
