Season Overview:
Last year was Brown's debut season with the Demons in which he featured in the senior line-up on five occasions. Although the key forward hoped to see more senior football this year, he was unlucky to start the season on the sidelines with a calf injury.

Brown returned from injury towards the end of March and pushed his case for selection being named in Melbourne's AFL side for Round 5. He had a solid display in the win against Hawthorn, with two goals and six score involvements. After a couple of appearances in the VFL side, the 30-year-old was unfortunate in suffering a second injury that saw him remain on the sidelines for nearly four weeks. Brown's best game of the year came in Casey's Round 5 one-point win over Geelong. He collected 18 disposals and kicked 4 goals, helping the Demons to their narrow win.

Despite the injury-interrupted season, Brown was still able to demonstrate his strength up forward, with the club signing him to another season in the red and blue.
