THE DEMON faithful will once again be strong at Optus Stadium on Saturday, with Melbourne giving fans another opportunity to represent members who are unable to be there.

Attendees of the 2021 Toyota AFL Grand Final between the Dees and the Dogs will have chance to wear special badges featuring the surnames of loyal Melbourne members.

Members from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT, who are unable to travel to the game due to lockdown and border restrictions, will be recognised.

The badges will be stationed at the Melbourne marquee in the Western Precinct, with collection available from 2.30pm local time.

It comes as the club recognises the challenging circumstances of its first grand final appearance in 21 years, while also encouraging those in attendance – both members and neutral supporters – to show their support of the red and blue.

Melbourne will also be giving away hats and flags at its marquee, further helping bring the Demon spirit to the last Saturday in September.

The initiative follows the incredible support the Dees have received since arriving in Western Australia, in what has been their home away from home this AFL Finals Series.
