THE DEMON faithful will be out in force at Optus Stadium this Friday night, with Melbourne giving fans the opportunity to represent members who are unable to attend.

Those heading to the Preliminary Final between the Dees and Geelong will have chance to wear special badges featuring loyal members’ names.

The members will hail from Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT, who are all experiencing lockdown, and therefore, unable to travel to the game.

Melbourne will have badges stationed at the marquees outside of Southern Oval Gate E, available for collection from 3:50pm, as it encourages neutral supporters to pledge their support and become Dees for a day.

The first 700 fans to get involved will also be able to get their hands on a free scarf, helping turn Optus Stadium red and blue for the do-or-die clash.

Existing Melbourne members and supporters are welcomed to take part too, should they wish to represent a fellow Demon and cheer loudly from the stands.

In addition, the club will be handing out FREE hot chip vouchers to early arrivals in club colours.

Fans can head to the Melbourne Marquee on the concourse to secure one, with 1,000 vouchers up for grabs.

The initiatives come as the Dees look to acknowledge the incredible support of their members – both those in attendance and at home.

And as the team embarks on its greatest challenge yet, the Demon spirit is more important than ever.
