Dan Taylor
Dan Taylor is the Chief Executive Officer of the Melbourne Football Club, commencing the position in July 2026 following eight months on the Board as a non-executive Director.
Dan is a strategic leader with extensive experience in driving growth and innovation in the Australian media landscape. In his previous role as Executive Director of Stan, Dan oversaw Stan Entertainment and Stan Sport, including business strategy, content proposition, platform experience, marketing (including brand, media, social, PR and comms), business development & growth initiatives and other key operational functions. Under his leadership, Stan cemented its position as Australia’s only locally owned and operated streaming service and one of only a small number of profitable, single-territory subscription streaming platforms globally.
A trusted advisor to C-suite executives and boards, Dan’s career has spanned investment banking, corporate development and business strategy, leading strategic transformation and major M&A transactions and rights deals, including the recent transaction with Optus Sport. With his ability to balance ambition with strategic foresight, Dan is focused on re-establishing Melbourne Football Club as a powerhouse of the AFL industry.
