Mark Jamar joined Melbourne as a ruck coach for the 2025 AFL season.
Jamar, who played 155 games across a 14-year career at the Dees, will work closely with the Demons’ talls on a part-time basis, sharing his unique skillset and experience.
Nicknamed ‘The Russian’, Jamar first joined Melbourne via the rookie draft in 2001, making his AFL debut in 2003.
He kicked 56 goals in the red and blue, with All Australian honours (2010) and Life Membership (2013) among his impressive accolades.
Jamar departed the Dees in 2015, playing five games with Essendon before his retirement at the end of 2016. The switch to coaching saw him hold roles at the Bombers and Collingwood.
