Karen Paxman took home the club’s Best and Fairest award in 2019 after a standout season for the Dees. In a year where she averaged 21 disposals per game, Paxman was also named on the wing of the All Australian team and polled fifth in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award. The hard-at-it on baller is a running machine, winning the club’s 2km time trial in an incredible display on the first night of the pre-season. Paxman has been a star for Melbourne since joining the club as a priority selection for the inaugural AFLW season and will be instrumental again in 2020.
