The son of high-marking Demon Shaun Smith overcame a history of injury troubles to achieve his highest games tally in 2023.
Smith played every game from Round 12 to the club’s semi-final exit, and impressed with his athleticism, accurate goalkicking and explosive leap at the football.
Having spent time in defence and forward of the ball, Smith settled in attack, kicking 11 majors from his 14 outings.
