Harry Petty took massive steps forward in 2019, developing his game at both ends of the field.
The key defender was swung forward in the latter part of the season to provide a target for the injury-riddled Demons, and shone with three goals against the Bulldogs in Round 17.
While his debut in 2018 didn’t go to plan, Petty has a good head on his shoulders and an ability to play under pressure.
The youngster will take time to develop his craft and build his body, but he’s made a great start in the first two years of his career.
Petty is expected to continue to train as a defender, but could be a valuable swingman for Melbourne in years to come.
