MELBOURNE midfielder Clayton Oliver has polled six votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award after his strong performance in Round 18.

Oliver collected six votes from the coaches for his game Saturday night, where he racked up 35 disposals, 16 contested possessions, nine clearances and six tackles.

The votes put Oliver at the top of the leaderboard with a total of 85, tied alongside Western Bulldogs midfielder, Marcus Bontempelli.

Christian Petracca received four votes for his efforts, registering 33 possessions of which 23 were contested.

Jack Viney was the third and final Demon to poll votes (two) with his 33-disposal game.

Hawthorn’s Tom Mitchell, Luke Breust, James Worpel and Tom Philips rounded out the list of vote-getters for the night.

Three Demons remain in the top 15 of the AFLCA leaderboard, with Christian Petracca and Max Gawn sitting with 57 and 55 votes, respectively.
