After suffering their first loss for the 2021 VFL season, the Casey Demons will be looking for redemption against a strong Werribee outfit on Saturday at Avalon Airport Oval.

It will be Casey’s first game away since playing North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium back in round three, but that shouldn’t fuss the Demons, who are 3-0 on the road this season.

With Ben Brown playing in the Melbourne AFL side on Thursday night, Corey Ellison returns for Casey at centre halfback. Midfielder Tom Sparrow is also back after being unused as Melbourne’s medical sub in its 31-point win over Port Adelaide.

New recruit Kye Declase will be lining up against his former side, which he was only playing for just over a month ago before being picked up by Melbourne in the mid-season draft.

The Demons are now halfway through the season after the VFL announced on Friday that the season would be reduced to 14 games over 19 rounds, due to the COVID issue faced so far this year.

Casey now finds itself in a great position to lock in a top-four spot, and that starts with a win on Saturday against Werribee.
