IN GOOD news, Melbourne youngster Luke Jackson and veteran Nathan Jones have been cleared to play this weekend.

Jackson, who fractured his finger in the Demons’ Round 8 win over the Sydney Swans, required minor surgery, but has been declared fit. The 19-year-old trained strongly on Wednesday at Casey Fields, completing the main session, and will be available for selection in Round 10.

Jones will also be available after suffering a very minor hamstring strain at training last week. He was forced to miss one week with the injury but is set to play for the Casey Demons on Sunday.

Vice-captain Jack Viney remains a week-to-week proposition and won’t lace up the boots this weekend after suffering bone stress in his toe.

Head Doctor, Laura Lallenec provides a full injury update below.
