FORWARD Bayley Fritsch has been offered a one-match sanction for Striking during Melbourne's Round 7 match at Blundstone Arena.

The incident, involving North Melbourne's Tom Powell, occurred during the second quarter of the game, and was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact, High Contact.

Powell was helped from the field but later returned to the ground. 

Angus Brayshaw was also charged with Tripping Connor Menadue during the second quarter and can accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.

Melbourne will provide an update on its position regard both incidents in due course.
