The Casey Demons will have a challenge on their hands this Saturday, with the VFL side taking on reigning premiers Richmond, and the VFLW squad going up against an undefeated Port Melbourne.

A big round one win was a great way to start Casey’s 2021 season. Coach Mark Corrigan and his boys were certainly pleased with the result and will look to capitalise on that form as they take on the Tigers in the club’s 750th game in the VFL/VFA.

Sam Weideman and Ben Brown will have another week in the VFL, while Harrison Petty returns to the side due to Steven May’s selection in the Melbourne line-up.

Cory MacHaya and Tom McCaffrey both come in for their first games for 2021.

With minimal changes to the side, the Demons will feel confident going into tomorrow’s clash against the Tigers.

There is no bigger challenge than trying to beat a side that is yet to taste defeat – and that is exactly what the Casey Demons VFLW will face this week against Port Melbourne.

Casey has bolstered its side following the end of the AFLW season, with seven Melbourne-listed inclusions for the clash.

Libby Birch, Sarah Lampard, Brenna Tarrant, Maddi Gay, Casey Sherriff, Jackie Parry and Alyssa Bannan will all line up for the Demons, for what will be considered as one of the games of the round.
