Tickets are now available to all members and general public fans via Ticketek.

ANZAC Day Eve 

Pre-Game Ceremony

The pre-game ceremony will commence at 6:45pm, with all fans encouraged to be in their seats at that time.

The arena lights will be dimmed, with the ceremony to include a performance by the Australian Army Band followed by the traditional lighting of the cauldron. 

The cauldron will be lit by Jennifer Allen - the granddaughter of Melbourne and Richmond great Frank 'Checker' Hughes.

ANZAC Day Eve Guernsey

Melbourne will wear a special guernsey to mark the occasion, featuring a red poppy surrounded by the names of the 30 Melbourne players who tragically lost their lives at war.

Guernseys are available to purchase now via The Demon Shop.

You can also secure a match-worn guernsey via The Demon Shop's Auction page (bids close on Thursday 29 April).

Frank 'Checker' Hughes Medal

Melbourne and Richmond will honour a great of the game on ANZAC Day Eve, awarding the inaugural Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes medal.

A tribute to the seven-time premiership player and coach who served during World War I, the medal will be presented to the best player on the ground at the conclusion of Saturday night’s match.

Jennifer Allen, the granddaughter of 'Checker' Hughes will present the medal.

VFL at Punt Road Oval

Fans looking to get to the precinct early can catch the VFL match between Casey and Richmond from 2:00pm at the Swinburne Centre (Punt Road Oval).

Entry is $5 for Melbourne/Casey members, while general admission tickets can be purchased for $10 and juniors under 15 enter for free.

Tickets must be purchased online and will be available from 3:00pm on Wednesday 21 April via InTix. Members, use the password 'DemonsRound2' to access your discounted tickets.

The Demon Shop

Stock up on all of your red and blue merch needs at The Demon Shop from 4:30pm.

To commemorate Nathan Jones' big milestone, a range of exclusive merchandise will be available to purchase at the shop (while stocks last).

MCG COVID-Safe practices

The MCG crowd cap will be at 85% for this weekend's ANZAC Day Round fixtures. 

In addition to different ticketing requirements, the MCG have put in place a number of new practices at the stadium. These include:

  • Separating the ground into five zones. Each zone will have access to toilet facilities, parents rooms, first aid, merchandise, food and beverage outlets (including those with Halal and vegetarian options), mobile charging units, prayer rooms and water refill stations.
  • Service Victoria QR codes at entry, which you will need to check in.
  • Cashless transactions at all food, beverage and merchandise outlets.
  • Hand sanitisers around the stadium.
  • Cloaking facilities will not be available.

While not mandatory at the MCG, fans are also highly encouraged to bring a mask and wear this in congested areas around the ground.

Getting to the MCG

Parking

Car parking in Yarra Park will be available for this event, subject to capacity. We advise that you arrive early in order to secure your park, as capacity may be reached before the start of the match. Vehicles arriving at Yarra Park gates once capacity is reached will be advised to use city car parks.

  • Gate 3: 4.00pm
  • Gate 5: 5.30pm
  • Gate 6: 5.00pm
  • Gate 7: 2.00pm*

*Parking alert: Access via Gate 7 is restricted to passholders and disability permit holders only.

Public Transport

By train, you can walk to the MCG from Richmond and Jolimont stations.

Multiple tram routes also stop close to the stadium, including the 70 (via Melbourne Park light rail), the 48 and 75 (both Wellington Parade).
