MELBOURNE will take on Fremantle and North Melbourne as part of the 2021 AFL Community Series.

Announced on Thursday, the Demons will head to Fremantle Oval to open their pre-season in week two of the tournament, going up against the Dockers on Friday 26 February at 4.10pm (local time).

They will then return to a more than familiar venue in Casey Fields, hosting North in week three.

The Sunday afternoon clash, which has been locked in for March 7 at 4.10pm, will be the first opportunity to play at the venue since making it its temporary home training facility.

Casey Fields has become a regular pre-season ground in recent years, with 2021 another opportunity for the Demons to engage the local community.

The AFL Community Series will kick off on Thursday 18 February and consist of 18 matches, with the clash at Casey the penultimate of the pre-season competition.
