MELBOURNE’S Bayley Fritsch has signed a new deal with the club, keeping him in the red and blue until at least the end of 2022.

The 23-year-old secured the fresh contract after a consistent season up forward, where he kicked 22 majors for the Dees.

General Manager of Football Operations Josh Mahoney said the club was thrilled to have its leading goalkicker locked in.

“We are happy to have Bayley commit to the club for the next two seasons,” he told Melbourne Media.

“Bayley has become a consistent part of our forward line since his debut. At 23 years old, he is continually learning about his game, and we look forward to him having even more impact in the future.”

Fritsch played all but one game this season, with his presence and high-flying nature an excitement for Demon fans.

The classy left-footer, who was selected with pick No.31 in the 2017 National Draft, plays with integrity and shapes as an integral part of Melbourne’s list going forward.

Originally from Coldstream, Fritsch made his debut in 2018 after being drafted out of the Casey Demons. He has 61 games and 59 goals to his name.
