AFTER hundreds of applications, 18 lucky year 10 students made their way to the MCG to take part in the Club’s highly renowned work experience program.

The four day program gave students an in depth insight in to the many facets of an AFL club. From question and answer with Mark Neeld, to attending a press conference, the students found it hard to pick their favourite part of the week from so many highlights.

Bruce Bowering, the father of Ben who participated in the work experience program, summed up the effects. “Jenine and I would like to express our gratitude for the valuable and highly enjoyable experience that you provided to Ben. It had an extraordinary effect on his confidence and self-esteem, and the stories he has brought back have entertained his mates for the whole week!”

In July, a second week of work experience will be held for another group of students. Applications for work experience in 2012 have now closed. Applications for 2013 will open in February via melbournefc.com.au
