MICHAEL Hibberd was Melbourne’s best according to the coaches in Round 5, polling four votes in his side’s 27-point loss to Richmond.

The 30-year-old, who return to the Demons’ side the week prior, finished with 25 disposals, five marks and seven intercepts on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.

Hibberd was joined by Christian Petracca in those recognised from Melbourne, with the midfielder receiving three votes for his 27-disposal effort.

Richmond’s Kane Lambert was judged best afield in his 100th game with 10 votes, while Jack Higgins (six votes), Noah Balta (6 votes) and Tom Lynch (one vote) rounded out the top performers.
