MELBOURNE will have the luxury of picking from close to a full list this week, after the boys returned from the lockdown period in good shape.

There will be just five names on the club’s injury list heading into Round 2, with Braydon Preuss (Achilles), Marty Hore (toe) and Harry Petty (groin) the most recent Demons to be sidelined.

In positive news, Harley Bennell looks to have recovered from the calf issues that have sidelined him since 2017.

The former Docker will have to prove his fitness later in the week, but after competing in Melbourne’s intra-club match last Saturday, he could be a chance to make his Demon debut.

Aaron vandenBerg (foot), who has also faced a tough battle with injury in years gone by, has been increasing his training loads and shouldn’t be far away from a return.

Watch below as performance manager Darren Burgess provides an update on the club’s full injury list.
