IT WILL be a big day on Monday for the Frost family, when Melbourne’s Sam will take on Collingwood’s Jack at the MCG on Queen’s Birthday.

Only once have the two brothers come up against each other – when Sam played for Greater Western Sydney, in what turned out to be his last game with the club, back in round 22, 2014.

But younger brother Sam, 22, will come up against older brother Jack, 24, for the first time playing in Melbourne colours this round.

“I’m very excited. It’s going to be a hard day for one side of the family, but it’ll be good,” Sam told Melbourne TV

“With the ‘Big Freeze 2’ it’s going to be a massive occasion and the Queen’s Birthday match – it’s going to be a big day, so Mum and Dad and my sister are very excited.

“Jack and I are pretty keen to have a good hit-out.”

Sam said it was a “smaller occasion” when he played against Jack at Spotless Stadium two years ago.

“It was good,” he said.

“It was just nice to be out there with him, as we’ve both worked pretty hard to be where we are and we’re both very happy for each other.

“It’s good being out on the same field at the same time, so it was good.”
