JACK Viney has polled the equal-most AFL Coaches Association votes in Melbourne’s clash against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

The midfielder collected nine votes after finishing with 31 disposals and seven tackles in his side’s 10-point loss.

Power’s Tom Jonas also polled nine votes for the match.

Fellow midfielder Angus Brayshaw, who was among the Demons’ leading possession-getters with 28 disposals, was awarded two votes, while key tall Tom McDonald received two votes for his three-goal effort. Defender Neville Jetta also received two votes.

Despite recording 53 hit outs and 16 disposals, ruckman Max Gawn did not poll any votes to add to his tally.

Gawn now sits equal-fifth on the leaderboard for the Champion Player of the Year award (45 votes), beside Richmond’s Trent Cotchin and North Melbourne’s Shaun Higgins.
