MELBOURNE has made three changes to its starting side as it prepares to travel to Mackay to face Gold Coast on Saturday.
The Demons will welcome club debutant Tahlia Fellows into the team, the forward confirmed to play her first AFLW game in the red and blue.
Shelley Heath-Barker has been named following a short stint on the sidelines with a calf injury, while Jacinta Hose makes her return after completing her rehab of an ankle injury sustained in Round 1.
In disappointing news for Mia Austin, the Melbourne forward will miss Saturday's game with a throat injury.
“Unfortunately, Mia has been ruled out of this weekend's match with a throat injury,” said Katrina Gill, the club's General Manager of AFLW.
“She will require further assessment before determining a timeline for her return."
Lauren Pearce and Alyssia Pisano have both been omitted and will join train-on Demon Tylah Burn on the emergency list.
The Dees will travel up to the Great Barrier Reef Arena to face the Suns on Saturday night, in what will be the first weekend of Pride Round.
