LIST Manager Tim Lamb says a mature and respectful discussion between the club and Jack Viney has open the doors for a potential move for the Melbourne vice-captain.

Brisbane's Will McLachlan is a new name of potential interest for the Demons, while Richmond's Jayden Short and GWS' Lachie Whitfield won't be pursued by Lamb and his list management team.

Despite media reports, defender Trent Rivers hasn't formally requested a trade.

Talks for Kangaroo and former first round selection Zane Duursma have only been preliminary at this stage.
