MELBOURNE will be without Kate Hore this weekend, the skipper sidelined with a neck injury.

Katrina Gill, the club’s General Manager of AFLW, has provided an update on the Demon.

“Kate was experiencing neck pain. Unfortunately, scans have determined Kate has a disc injury which needs some time to settle,” Gill said.

“We will have an update on her availability after further assessment.”

Shelley Heath-Barker will also miss the game due to a calf injury.

In more positive news, it was confirmed earlier today that Aoife Horisk would line up for her first AFLW game, having made the move over from Gaelic football at the beginning of this year.

Four more Demons have been named as possible ins for Sunday’s match against Collingwood, with Lauren Pearce, Jacinta Hose, Tahlia Fellows and Saraid Taylor all added to the extended squad.

The final team will be confirmed tomorrow at 5pm.
