MELBOURNE has made five changes to its AFL list, informing Jack Henderson, Aidan Johnson, Andy Moniz-Wakefield, Riley Onley and Kalani White that they will not be offered contracts for the 2027 AFL season.

Henderson’s time in the red and blue comes to an end after two seasons at the club. The small forward joined Melbourne on the eve of the 2025 season and managed five AFL games during his time at the Demons.

Johnson made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2025 after arriving at the club via the 2024 National Draft, where he was selected with pick No.68 following a strong VFL campaign with Werribee. Johnson managed six AFL games across the two seasons.

Moniz-Wakefield departs Melbourne after joining the club as a Category B Rookie in 2021 through its Northern Territory Next Generation Academy. After developing his game with the Casey Demons, Moniz-Wakefield earned his AFL opportunity in 2024 before suffering back-to-back knee injuries that limited his opportunities.

Onley joined the Demons through the Rookie Draft after previously spending time in Collingwood’s VFL program and became a regular contributor for the Casey Demons during his time at the club.

White, the son of former Melbourne ruckman Jeff White, joined the club as a developing tall and spent his time in the red and blue continuing his progression through the Casey program. White will be invited back to train with the club during the Supplemental Selection Period ahead of the 2027 season.

Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb thanked the five players for their commitment during their time at the club.

“We would like to thank Jack, Aidan, Andy, Riley and Kalani for the contribution they have made to our football program,” Lamb said.

“Each of them has approached their time at the club with a strong level of commitment and professionalism, and we are grateful for everything they have given during their time at here.

“These decisions are never easy, and we wish all five players nothing but the best for whatever comes next in their football journeys.”
