MELBOURNE will return home to its south-east fortress of Casey Fields with two changes to its team.

Lauren Pearce and Laela Ebert have been confirmed for the Round 2 game, where the Dees will host the Giants from 2:35pm.

Pearce has been a stalwart of the Dees line-up since the opening season of AFLW and will add experience through stoppages, while young Demon Ebert will return to the side’s backline, playing a role she became comfortable with last season.  

It was confirmed yesterday that Jacinta Hose (ankle injury) and Maggie Mahony (concussion) would miss the Round 2 game.

Amelia Dethridge, Tahlia Fellows and Alyssia Pisano have been named as emergencies.

The Casey Fields AFLW experience has been elevated this year, with Hector’s Deli and South Ave. drinks both providing pop-ups for fans to enjoy during their match days.

Dees fans are encouraged to get down and support the team in what is the club's first AFLW home game of 2026. Tickets can be found here.
