TWO DEMONS from Melbourne's season-opening victorious side have been withdrawn from the Round 2 squad to take on the Giants.
Jacinta Hose (ankle) and Maggie Mahony (concussion) will not make the trip to Casey Fields.
Last week's debutant Hose could not finish the match after rolling her ankle in a ruck contest.
It was confirmed this week that Hose had suffered a high-grade ankle sprain and would miss a period of six to eight weeks.
AFLW General Manager said Mahony had been involved in a training track mishap.
“Unfortunately, Maggie has entered concussion protocols after a head knock at training,” Gill said
“Maggie’s health and wellbeing is paramount and we will support her through her recovery.”
Lauren Pearce, Laela Ebert, Amelia Dethridge, Alyssia Pisano and Tahlia Fellows are all potential inclusions named on the club's extended bench, with the final side to be named at 5PM Friday Evening.
