MAX Gawn has once again caught the eye of the coaches, receiving the perfect votes for his Round 17 performance against Hawthorn.

In the race for the AFL Coaches' Association's Champion Player Award, Gawn was instrumental in his side's 35-point win over the Hawks, receiving 10 votes from the coaches and finishing the day with 22 disposals, five marks and 31 hitouts. 

Jacob van Rooyen was also recognised for his career-best display, polling eight votes thanks to a career-high 24 disposals and a whopping five goals. Bayley Fritsch was also dominant inside 50 with five goals, the Demon receiving six votes from the coaches. 

Kysaiah Pickett, Tom Sparrow and Changkuoth Jiath rounded out the votes for the game receiving two votes each. 

Gawn remains in the top five on the overall leaderboard with a total of 70 votes from across the season.
