EXPERIENCED forward Brody Mihocek kicked three on return from injury on Sunday, but his performance was soured by Melbourne's 49-point loss to GWS.
After spending three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, Mihocek re-entered the team for Melbourne's Round 12 match against the Giants.
“I definitely missed playing, it’s not very fun watching from the stands,” Mihocek said.
"It’s nice to get on the scoreboard when the key forwards do have a tough role.
"I’m happy to get through the game and soak up a bit of a rest now, to hopefully get a clean run into the rest of the year.”
The Dees were defeated by the Giants in a game where Melbourne had one more scoring shot and 16 more inside 50s.
“I felt like we were on top in some areas, but we had a lot of skill errors,” Mihocek said.
“The entries to us in the forward line were a bit unpredictable at times.
“It was a pretty hard slog and we just couldn’t claw it back, they were kicking straight as well, and we weren’t, which also doesn’t help.
“We’ll address the loss during the week, sometimes you’ve just got to sit in the loss and then get back to Melbourne to reset there.
“I know we’ve had a few tough losses here, but hopefully this week’s tough loss can spur something on for the rest of the season.
“Hopefully we can take a few things out of that because I know it’s going to be a big game next week."
