MELBOURNE has selected Lukas Cooke with pick No.11 at the 2026 AFL Mid-Season Draft.

Hailing from South Australia, Cooke comes to the Dees from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens Eagles.

Despite missing the draft in his top age year, where he represented South Australia in the state team, Cooke has spent the past five years developing his craft as a talented defender. 

Standing at 196cm, Cooke played in multiple roles throughout his junior career but has settled into his best footy in the backline, currently averaging 18 disposals and eight marks.
