The Casey Demons have named their VFL side for Sunday’s clash against the Footscray Bulldogs at Casey Fields.

The Dees have made three changes to the line-up, headlined by the return of experienced forward Jake Melksham from injury. His inclusion adds valuable leadership and composure to a young Casey outfit looking to build consistency across four quarters.

Andy Moniz-Wakefield also returns to the side after serving as AFL carryover in the previous round, bringing further run and versatility to the team.

Casey will once again face the reigning premiers after the two sides met earlier this season, but this time the Dees will have the advantage of playing on home turf in front of their supporters.

While results haven’t fallen Casey’s way in recent weeks, there have been encouraging signs throughout games, with the side showing patches of strong contested football and control around the ball. The challenge now is converting those momentum swings into scoreboard pressure and sustaining their intensity for longer periods.

Against one of the competition’s benchmark sides, the Demons will be looking to deliver a disciplined and team-focused performance, while continuing to develop the connection and consistency that can help turn competitive passages into results.
