It’s an exciting weekend for the club as both the VFL and VFLW programs return to action, with the opening VFLW fixture of the season finally here.
The VFL side will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing result last week when they face St Kilda at RSEA Park. First bounce is set for 2:05pm, with the Dees aiming to respond strongly and get back to their best football against a quality opposition.
Across the women’s program, the VFLW side begins its campaign with a milestone matchup against the Tasmanian Devils. With a new coach at the helm and a number of fresh faces in the squad, it’s an opportunity for the group to set the tone early and lay the foundations for the season ahead.
This game kicks off at 2:35pm. It will also be streamed via 7plus as well as the AFL App and website, with Tasmanian viewers also able to tune in on 7mate.
With both teams in action on the same day, it shapes as an important and exciting moment for the program as the season gets underway.
