The Casey Demons have named their inaugural VFLW side for Round 1 as they prepare to take on the Tasmanian Devils in the club’s first-ever VFLW match.

The squad features an exciting mix of fresh faces and emerging talent, with Alexandra Calogero, Abbey Rabot, Tricia Cowan, Chloe McDonald, Rebecca Fitzpatrick, Michelle Podnecky, Margot Whitney and Lily Snow all named to make their Casey debuts.

It will also mark the first official game in charge for senior coach Oli Platt, following a long and demanding preseason that has seen the group build strong connections and lay the foundations for the year ahead.

After months of hard work on the track, the Dees are eager to showcase their brand of football and give supporters a first look at the new group in action. While it is a young side still building together, there is plenty of excitement around the club ahead of the beginning of this new era for Casey’s VFLW program.

The Demons will travel to Tasmania for the historic clash, with the match set to take place at North Hobart Oval. First bounce is scheduled for 2:35pm as Casey opens its VFLW season against the Devils.
