MELBOURNE’s AFLW squad has made the trip up the Hume Highway to Bright for its annual community camp.

Across Thursday and Friday, the Demons will immerse themselves in the local community through school visits and a range of activities.

Follow along below for daily updates from the camp.

Day One | May 14

The squad kicked off the trip with a series of school visits along the Hume Highway, taking part in Q&A sessions, kick-to-kick activities and signing opportunities with local students.

After arriving in Bright, the players headed to Pioneer Park for an Auskick clinic with children from across the region, beginning the afternoon with a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country from Aunty Nikki.

The day wrapped up alongside the next generation of footballers, with the Demons joining both Bright JFC and Myrtleford JFC for junior training sessions as part of the club’s continued connection with the local community.
