MELBOURNE running machine Ed Langdon says striking the right balance between the trademark rapid ball movement of the early season with controlled movement in certain phases of the game, is key to Melbourne's game plan for the month ahead.
The Demons have found the scoring flow in 2026, with Sunday's 99 points just the third time this season the club has scored under triple figures.
Melbourne has already scored over 100 points on more occasions than the club managed in 2025.
"Probably just understanding when to go fast and when to control the ball a bit," Langdon said.
"It's been something we're constantly working on."
