MELBOURNE and Collingwood have come together this week to help FightMND launch Big Freeze 12.
In a memorable spectacle on Monday, FightMND revealed the Big Freeze 12 Beanie with a hot air balloon at Marvel Stadium, the biggest Big Freeze Beanie ever created.
Tom Sparrow and Saraid Taylor attended the launch on Monday, with Jack Viney taking a special ride in the Big Freeze hot air balloon on Wednesday morning.
The annual Big Freeze match, which occurs as part of the King’s Birthday clash between Melbourne and Collingwood, sees the league and country throw its support behind Neale Daniher, FightMND Patron and co-founder, and all those affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
This year’s Big Freeze message is: “I Choose Fight”.
It’s a rallying cry to every Australian. A call to step up, speak out and be part of something bigger. Because choosing fight doesn’t always mean grand gestures. Sometimes it starts with something as simple as pulling on a Beanie.
With a strong connection to the Daniher family, Melbourne is a proud supporter of FightMND and the Big Freeze each year, the club encouraging its fans to once again rally around the important cause.
Collingwood will host this year’s King’s Birthday clash on Monday 8 June at 3:15pm.
As always, the fan-favourite celebrity slide will hit the MCG, an activation in which popular personalities take the icy plunge in front of fans prior to the King’s Birthday match. This year’s sliders are yet to be announced but will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Big Freeze 12 beanies are now available from your local Coles, Coles Express, Bunnings or via the FightMND website.
