MELBOURNE has welcomed back Changkuoth Jiath for its ANZAC Day Eve clash with Richmond at the MCG.

The rebounding defender returns to the side for his first appearance since Round 3, adding speed and drive to the Dees’ backline.

Jiath replaces Harrison Petty, who will miss through injury.

The Dees have otherwise backed in the core of the side that secured last week’s win, with continuity across all lines.

Jed Adams, Patrick Cross and Jack Henderson have been named as emergencies.

The ANZAC Day Eve clash is one of the most significant nights on the football calendar.

At 5:20pm, a torch lit from the Eternal Flame at the Shrine of Remembrance will be escorted through King's Domain to the MCG.

Match attendees are encouraged to come along and be a part of the ceremony from the start, and Follow the Flame as it makes its way to the ‘G.

The torch is escorted by the Shrine Guard. Trained in military drill, the Shrine Guard have provided security and ceremonial support to the memorial since 1935 and proudly wear the uniform of the Australian Light Horse at ceremonial occasions.
