Melbourne has finalised its list ahead of the 2026 AFL season, signing Casey Demons player Paddy Cross during the AFL’s Supplemental Selection Period (SSP).
Cross earns his opportunity after three strong seasons at VFL level, most recently playing 18 games for in Casey Demons in 2025 and kicking 24 goals.
Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said the signing was a great reward for Cross’s consistency and hardwork.
“Paddy has been a consistent performer at VFL level over a number of years, and we think he’ll be a great addition to our list,” Lamb said.
“He brings real versatility, has shown he can compete at a high level, and has continued to improve his game year after year.”
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming Paddy and his family to the Demons.”
The list spot became available following veteran defender Steven May’s decision to retire from AFL football.
Cross will join the club immediately as Melbourne completes its list ahead of the upcoming season.
