MELBOURNE is on the hunt for its Next Generation Academy and is holding try outs in March prior to the Carnival in April.
About the Program
The NGA offers young athletes a supportive and inclusive environment to further develop their football. Players will take part in a five week program focusing on skill development. A team of 24 players will then be selected to play in the NGA Carnival during the April School Holidays.
Who Can Join
The program is open to male and female players born in 2011 or 2012, who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or
- Meet the AFL NGA Culturally Diverse criteria, meaning the player or at least one parent was born in an African, Asian, Pasifika, or Central/South American country, and
- Reside within Casey region.
Program Details
Date: GIRLS – Monday 9th March | BOYS – Wednesday 11th March
Location: Casey Fields (VFL Oval)
Time: Arrive 5:15pm | Session 5:30 – 7:00pm
