TWO full days of the 2025 AFL Trade Period are remaining and there's still plenty of work left to do for Tim Lamb and the Melbourne list management committee.
We've compiled a selection of stories currently doing the rounds, as reported by various outlets and voices across social media to help keep you in the know.
Christian Petracca
What Tim Lamb has said:
"As we've said sort of all along, we love Trac," Lamb said.
"He expressed a desire to potentially move somewhere else. We've said we'll look at something as long as it's in the best interest of the club. So that that's sort of our position."
What the Media is saying:
"This one is destined to go deep into Wednesday night's deadline but there's confidence on both sides that the move will still get done"@CalTwomey and @RileyBev with the latest on Christian Petracca's move.

Clayton Oliver
What Tim Lamb has said:
"We met with Clayton and spoke about the future and how that looked. How the coach wanted the midfield to play and where Clayton fit in with all of that," Lamb said.
"Out of that has come that he has wanted to explore some options but it wasn't a direction from us for him to do that."

The more of Clayton Oliver's salary that Melbourne pays, the better the pick that GWS will have to give up 🤑#AFL | #TasmanButchers pic.twitter.com/pcbRgTQpvH

Bayley Humphrey
What Tim Lamb has said:
"I think in these situations, you need to be really respectful in that Gold Coast havve made their position clear publicly on a number of occasions that Bailey’s contracted and not on the trade table," Lamb said.
"So yeah, you've got to respect that."
What the Media is saying:
"Gold Coast will give 7 and 8 to Melbourne, providing they get 24 back. If this happens, it essentially means Melbourne will lose Petracca and McVee for 7 and 8… That’s a pretty good deal. As much as Melbourne would have loved Bailey Humphrey to be part of this deal, I think…
