MAEVE Chaplin has put together her first 10-vote game of the 2025 season, recognised during Melbourne's Round 8 win over Essendon. 

Chaplin was at her defensive best on Friday night, patrolling the Dees' backline with 14 intercepts alongside 24 disposals, five tackles and 611 metres gained. 

Tayla Harris collected seven votes from the coaches after kicking two goals in addition to her 17 disposals and five tackles.  

Eliza McNamara (four), Megan Fitzsimon (two) and Kate Hore (two) were the remaining Demons recognised, while Essendon's Georgia Nanscawen and Madison Prespakis rounded out the vote-getters. 

Tyla Hanks and Kate Hore remain in the top six on the overall leaderboard, with North Melbourne's Ash Riddell sitting at the top with a comfortable 14-vote lead.
