THE Rigoni name is synonymous with the red and blue, and now another member of the clan will have the opportunity to carve her own name in the AFLW history books.
Jemma Rigoni will make her debut against Collingwood in Narrm’s Round 3 clash on Sunday afternoon.
Rigoni, daughter of 107-game Demon, Guy, has pushed hard for selection since arriving at the Dees in the 2023 AFLW Draft.
Prior to her draft year, Rigoni also made herself familiar with the team as a train-on through their 2023 campaign.
With injury tempering her 2024 season, the defender’s speed and versatility will be on show to Demon fans when she takes to Victoria Park (Wurundjeri Land) on Sunday.
This week is the first of AFLW Indigenous Round, a powerful two-week celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, connection, and contribution to the game.
Tickets to the match are available here, with the siren sounding at 1.05pm.
The Dees will remain as Narrm Football Club for the duration of the two weeks, recognizing the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung language in the rebrand.
