THANKS to Co-Principal Partner Zurich Insurance this AFLW season we are celebrating Club Community Champions.
The season our AFLW players are sharing their connections with community football, the impact it has had on their life and career, and the individuals who have made their experience special. Zurich will proudly donate $500 to the Club nominated by each player.
Linda Griffin, Head of Brand, Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Zurich Australia & New Zealand, said that Zurich is thrilled to support both community level clubs and the AFLW Demons.
“It provides an opportunity for Zurich to give back to community AFL clubs across Australia that provide a strong foundation for young players.”
Zurich has long been a proud supporter of women’s sport, particularly of the junior teams and pathways to AFL and AFLW.
“We’re passionate about investing in, and supporting women’s sport, and through this initiative we aim to encourage participation at grassroots level and inspire the future generation of players.
Both Zurich and Melbourne Football Club plan to expand the program next season to have Demon supporters nominate and share the stories of their own Club Community Champions.
