INS – May, Sharp
OUTS – Adams (omitted), Windsor (hamstring)
MILESTONE man Steven May will reach his long-awaited 250-game mark after a three-week delay with concussion and suspension.
It will be May’s 127th game in red and blue, marginally eclipsing his tally at the Gold Coast Suns where he captained the side during 2017 and 2018.
May comes into the side in place of last week’s debutant Jed Adams (omitted), while Caleb Windsor will also miss the clash with a hamstring injury.
Harry Sharp will come into the side in place of Windsor, with his last VFL hit-out a five-goal bag against Sandringham, before playing limited minutes off the bench in the Eagles win as substitute, and getting the carryover emergency role last weekend.
Hawthorn comes into the match riding high on the form of an eye-catching demolition of the Magpies and will throw everything they have at the Demons with a finals spot still on the line.
Melbourne will be hoping to replicate a strong performance against the Bulldogs in Troy Chaplin’s second game at the helm.
The ball will bounce at 4:15pm at the MCG, as Melbourne enters the match as the away team.
