Melbourne’s Luker Kentfield has signed a one-year contract extension with the Demons, keeping him in red and blue until at least the end of 2026.
The 20-year-old joined Melbourne with the 11th pick in the 2024 mid-season draft and while he’s yet to make his senior debut, he has been a strong and reliable contributor at VFL level for the Casey Demons.
Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb expressed his delight at watching the young athlete develop.

“Having watched Luker grow from strength to strength since joining us in 2024, we’re pleased to have him sign on for another year,” Lamb said.
“Unfortunately, he’s suffered some illness at the beginning of the year which set him back a touch, however, we’re really proud of his resilience and determination to improve and grow in our environment.
“While he’s yet to make his AFL debut, we have great hopes that he will have opportunity in the near future.”
Originally hailing from Western Australia, the 194cm key forward has a strong contested marking game, priding himself on his aggression, strength and aerial ability.
Kentfield joins fellow Dees, Blake Howes and Kysaiah Pickett, in signing fresh deals with the club.
