The Casey Demons have pulled off a thrilling nine-point victory over Collingwood in a Saturday night showdown at Mission Whitten Oval, showcasing relentless pressure and composed ball movement across four quarters in trying conditions.

Despite the cold and a tough, contested game style, the Demons remained composed from the first bounce, demonstrating their trademark resilience and intensity. In a nail-biter that went down to the wire, it was Casey’s ability to maintain pressure and execute clean ball movement that proved the difference.

The scoreboard was shared around with Bailey Laurie, Jack Billings, Paddy Cross, Mitch Hardie, Patrick Ireland, Luker Kentfield, and Ricky Mentha all hitting the scoreboard with crucial goals throughout the night.

Riley Bonner led the charge with 35 disposals, providing drive off half-back and through the middle. Mitch Hardie (31 disposals, 1 goal) and Jack Billings (30 disposals, 1 goal) were influential in both attack and defence, while Bailey Laurie added a dynamic edge with his 29 disposals and a goal of his own. Taj Woewodin also made his mark with 22 disposals in a hard-fought contest. Midfielder Riley Baldi also set the tone with a game-high 15 tackles.

The win marks another step forward in Casey’s recent hot streak, with the group showing strong signs of cohesion, hunger, and determination as they push into the second half of the season.
