The Casey Demons suffered a tough 65-point defeat to the Footscray Bulldogs in Round 4, marking their fourth consecutive loss in the 2025 VFLW season.

The Bulldogs asserted their dominance from the outset with explosive pace, clean ball movement, and a relentless attacking mindset. They consistently capitalised on loose balls and were able to find space inside forward 50, putting the Casey defence under pressure from the first bounce.

Footscray’s tackling pressure was relentless, pinning the Demons deep in their defensive half and making it difficult to break through. Despite Casey’s best efforts, they struggled to generate consistent forward entries and were unable to match the Bulldogs' efficiency in front of goal.

By halftime, the Bulldogs had opened up a 36-point lead, while Casey was limited to just a one goal from Zara Klein. Although the Demons managed to hit the scoreboard in the second half with another goal from Alice Robinson, Footscray maintained control and ran out convincing winners.

Casey's top performers included Zoe Mitchell (18 disposals), Meg Macdonald (15), and Tegan Williams (14), who worked hard under constant pressure. The Demons will look to regroup and bounce back as they prepare for the challenges ahead in the second half of the season.
